Which is stronger, 1/2 inch hardware cloth or 1/4 inch hardware cloth? Also is there any place to get it cheaper than amazon?

I think they are both strong, but i would recommend the 1/4 inch

1/2 will be stronger due to heavier wire gauge, and will keep most predators out if well attached taut and edges screwed down tight or covered with trim.
Amazon is the cheapest as far as I know.

1/2 inch stronger. Amazon or walmart.com are usually the best places.
