I really want to know the gender of this white chantecler chick we got, out of a litter of rir chicks we hatched out poped a baby chantecler, and i have to chose between 'It' and a cornish chick (pullet) and I want to know if I have a choice of choosing either or if its gonna be the cornish. I have been checking its feathers and right now its still kinda iffy but since ic ant find anything via google about autosexing them or how to sex if you can even by colours, but I was just curious since its hard to wait for the feathers to grow out slightly to sex it that way. Heres a few pictures if that can help, its about 2 days old, if thats too young i can post more pictures later. [IMG]

It's definitely to young to tell yet via picture. Cute though!

You will need to wait several more weeks before you can tell.

It is too young to tell gender from appearance. I would recommend posting new photos when the chick is at least 8 weeks old.

I dont really have 8 weeks... I have to choose today or within the week since we have a lady who 'wants the ones we dont' and honestly i dont know of I want her or not, any idea if chaneclers are good egg producers or are good pets? I checked her wings today and they point towards female.

For a while everybody thought it was a pullet, turned out to be a Roo @ 4 months though!
