White chick from a brown egg?

    So this little chick hatched from a brown egg 4 weeks ago. [​IMG]
    I believe she might be a meat bird as she's big! (Although she will not be used as one)
    Here is another picture of her at 3 weeks old. [​IMG]
    Any ideas as to what she might be?

    Several white chicken breeds (and mutts) that lay brown eggs - feather color has nothing to do with egg color. There was an article going around a while back by some so called foodie expert that tried to simplify it by saying white chickens laid white eggs and brown chickens laid brown eggs... Obviously they mixed that up with brown cows producing chocolate milk... [​IMG]

    Maybe a white rock? Hard to tell when they're tiny...
