About 7wks ago I got 25 assorted brown egg layers. I have 5 white pullets that started out yellow. If they wern't sold as brown egg layers I would say they were simply leghorns. Is there a plain large white hen that lays brown eggs? They are totally white, yellow feet, yellow ears.

Quote:White giants have willow colored legs and feet. Only the bottoms of the feet are yellow in White Giants. White Cochins have feathers on their legs.

I would assume White Plymouth Rock as well.

Does willow colored mean green? These are completely white chickens, larger than all the others I bought, and they have yellow feet, yellow combs (so far), yellow beak, etc.

Could they be white rocks? Mine sound just like that. Started yellow and now fluffly white:) Legs etc are yellow.

    That's not a white Giant....that's a white Orpington.

These are my White Giants, notice the leg color:

You can barely see the yellow coloration of the bottoms of their feet coming through.

A White Orpington has white legs. A White Plymouth Rock has yellow legs. A White Jersey Giant has willow colored legs.
