I have 2, 5 day old WCBP chicks, is it possible to tell if they are roo or pullet yet?
not until at least 6 weeks, roos get big wattles fairly quick.
Hens have tighter feathering in their crests and roos look like they have a wild hairdo.
My polish chicks were fairly easy to sex by crest development by 3 or 4 weeks old. The little pullets' crests developed poofy very early, while the little cockerels had more of a mohawk look to theirs before they got all spiky and punk rock.
