    Any rooster will crow. [IMG]

As for White Crested Polish, along with any Polish - But more specifically these - The boys will begin to have very stringy, long, droopy crest feathers and a larger, redder comb. The pullets/hens will have nice, round, poofy crests and should, but not always, have virtually no comb.

These differences will appear at about 3-5 months of age. Otherwise, just look for a reddening in the comb if it is younger for a rooster.

a pullet is a young hen under 1 year of age. yours looks like my three week old pullet! the roosters have pointed crest feathers and the hens have rounded ones. like the hackle feather rule only on the crest.

I have had too much experience in this situation than I would like to admit. I have just started out and aquired 4 Polish "hens" at about 2 month old. Out of the 4, 3 started to crow. Yes, the crests all started to go pointy and sparatic, but the one definate sign I saw were the saddle feathers (the feathers extending out just at the base of the tail). The roosters all were pointy while the hen's (which I have gotten more to compare with just the 1 hen I wound up with) were rounded. Good luck. Chicken sexing is one of the hardest and craziest things I have ever been involved in!!
