One of my Rhode Island Red roosters has bright white- I guess they are earlobes? I don't think I have ever seen this. Is it normal? OR do I have a special roo?
It's a little hard to see in this picture, but in the 10 days since this picture has been taken, its gotten very bright white

I've noticed this becoming more common in hatchery birds lately.

Quote:[IMG] Well, I do know there is something else in these supposed Rhode Island Reds. I got them from a private hatchery, I guess you'd call it? The guy said they were all RIR's. I hate to tell him but.. they arent . But they are all pretty. Except for the 1 roo, pictured here next to the guy with the tomato. He is Interesting looking.

But he's the only one out of 11 to have white earlobes.

    Edited for horrible typing [IMG]
