I am a new chicken person and would like some recomendations as to what breed of white egg layers are good to get. I already have my brown layers.

I have 2 White Leghorns and they are still laying at 4+ years old. Nice large eggs too!

We have brabanters. They lay a nice white egg and are so gorgeous and have a wonderful temperment. Show stoppers! Everyone that comes to the farm loves them best. They are relatively rare, but come spring, you'll see them in the hatcheries.

I also have White Leghorns, I was ambivalent at first about them, but I must say, I am impressed with their production. Ours are "rescues" from LSU. My hubbies cousin works there in poultry science, and they are research birds.....

I would suggest White Leghorns and/or Minorca, [IMG] [IMG]
