White Feathers on Face: Is it normal for mille Fleur D:uccle?

I am an owner of a small but very lovable mille fleur belguan d'uccle. He has been molting for some time now. on his beard he has white feathers. Is this normal for mille fluer D'uccles? He's never had as many.

Does his beard look like the picture below? If so I think it is normal. I have seen it on many Millie's but I'm not very knowledgable about the standard besides the feet and the type.

kinda. His name is Chicken Joe.He's a bantam. I've had him for about 5-6 months. Ive never really seen these feathers on him, therfor i got worried.

Most birds drastically change their patterns as they get older. Like the coloration of partridge in wyandottes and cochins. As adolescents they have barred feathers but as they mature they get their penciling in their feathers instead.
