White growth on comb

Wondering if anyone has seen this (the white growth) on their birds? There are actually 2 spots of it, the large one toward the back of her comb and then a narrower but longer bit about halfway down. They are hard, and my hen DOES NOT like them being touched.

If it is a fungal infection called favus, it can spread from the comb to feathered areas. Treatment consists of applying antifungal cream such as miconazole (Monistat) or clotrimazole (Lotrimin, others) daily with a disposable glove. If a vet is available, they may take skin scrapings to confirm fungus. This is a serious favus infection:
