White leghorn hen, or not???

My Traders Joes are definitely mixes (several had black spots, they are definitely heavier than pure Leghorns, they don't lay a white egg). They're great birds though. This does look like a cockerel to me.
 
Where are you two from? Seems live close since you now the same place?
Daniboy how did you hatch that egg do you have an incubator or do you have ducks and use them? (Since you have a black duck in that pic i got that conclusion)

if my drake ever went broody, that's make my year.
By the way, my new rooster did his first crowing this morning. What timing!

Lol, leghorn hen crowing? Lol, about time. This might sound crazy but my 4 month old leghorn start crowing when he was 2 months. I feak out the first time i heard him i thought one of my chickens is crowing, but that little chick was the one crowing. Is used to crowd more then than now.
