Hey yall, first of all, I do have the babes separated from the olders. There is a nice fence between them . Hubby worked hard. When feeding them, I went through the door to the chick coop and Whippin Girl (lowest on the pecking order) just sneaked right in. She immediately started abusing my 5 week old RIR babes. I grabbed a branch and slightly penned her, and put her back into the older crowd, lol.( Otherwise, I'd end up chasing her all afternoon.)
I'm not sure when to introduce them, especially after today. Any help would be obliged.

Ha! It's normal. She saw her chance and she took it. She's usually on the receiving end and she got to dish it out for a change.

If those RIR are like most, when they get to be 18 weeks old and size up to the older gals, they'll more than stand their ground. Wait until they match up size wise and they'll over come their lack of maturity. With maturity? Most red hens of any mix, just aren't normally pushovers for anybody. Just wait.
