white maran... cockerel?

    Looks like a pullet to me, how old?

    Also, the breed name is "marans". It always has the 's' on the end, whether you are referring to one bird or twenty, because they are named after the town of Marans, France, where they originated.

    Good to know, I'm new to this chicken addiction. :)

    6 months old already... I'm confused by this one because it has more comb and leg then our other marans pullet.

    At 6 months that's definitely a pullet. She's really close to laying, that's why she's go that much comb. Your other girl is just slower to develop.
