What color should a white Orpington chick be? I have one that has hatched adn a couple others starting to hatch. The first one is a creamy color with a grey fuzzy wing?? Will that change to white? I'll post a pic later after its had some time to warm up under mommy hen.

Recessive white birds usually don't hatch out a yellow color.

The good ones usually are gray or a champagne color and the feathers come in white.

bragabit, Heres a pic of one of our hatches, black/carrying the mottled gen and white orp chicks in this hatch.. [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] when these white orp chicks grow up, they will be pure white like snow and they look fantastic cruising around your yard on green grass..
