White Silky hen and Rooster, equals black/grey chick?

    I was kind of shocked to come home to the 3rd chick hatched, looking blackish/grey...I guess it's normal right? NO?

    How are your chickies doing?


    White hides a lot of things. Silkies - I am not sure if they are recessive or dominant white.


    I have a dominant white cochin hen, when crossed with a splash - her chicks were white with black random spots/feathers.


    I had a recessive white Ameraucana rooster, who was actually a black (black father/black mother).
