Hey all! I am brand new here and have a question about a young pullet that has just started laying.
Today was day 3 in a row for her, and we have olive eggs!! Her first two eggs were solid, uniform olive. Today's egg has cream speckles. They did have some tomato, meal worms, and a very small bit of cottage cheese for treats yesterday. Too much calcium, normal, or a bigger problem I should look into? Sorry about the poor lighting, but I have yesterday's and today's egg shown for comparison.
Thank you!

I don't think there is anything to worry about. Some hens will deposit extra calcium specks occasionally; whereas, others do so routinely.

Thank you! At first I thought, "How gorgeous!" Then I thought I better make sure everything is a-ok
