Thats interesting. Mystery’s comb is more split than that.

I'm thinking that chick probably has a Polish mother (I re-read the original question in post 1 again), because I think that has to be a v-comb crossed with the rooster's single comb.

I think I like that comb quite a bit! Now I want some like that...

I discussed it with my zoology teacher and we think it was caused by a co-dominance of the V comb and the straight comb so both were expressed at the same time. With the coloring, crest, and comb, I agree that Beatrice the polish is indeed the mommy.

I’d bet that’s a polish mix! I have had several with combs like that from polish/NN crosses!
