Who can't stand TV at this time of year?

Well, I dislike most television most of the time, especially since it seems that strife and "reality" are the new entertainment, in addition to the sex everywhere you look. I'll just keep watching my DVD's of Foyle's War, Pie in the Sky, Touch of Frost, etc.

I did watch a Charlie Brown Christmas show the other night and enjoyed it.

My kids are not allowed to watch prime time TV - none of it is appropriate for kids, not even the 7 pm hour. They love the Christmas specials, though. We go through the Christmas special list and set the ones we want to watch up to Tivo weeks in advnace. Tivo is the best. Watch only what you want when you want to watch.

ME! We do not do Christmas, period, and I detest holiday specials. I don't spend much time watching TV anymore, but hey, there are lots of things online to watch on your computer! And a flat screen computer monitor is much less expensive than a TV of the same size, so upgrade your monitor and watch whatever you like online. That's what we do since we have only FTA satellite (Free-to-Air, the big dish).

I love the old classic movies and Red Skelton animation stuff.....LooneyTunes and Charlie Brown Xmas is great! So is the Muppets!

However, I HATE the commercials!!!!!!!

I hate the radio stations, ou can't find just regular MUSIC anymore they're all playing 70's christmas tunes

I'm mostly a news junkie...and watch Fox News most often. I do find myself watching all the sappy Hallmark movies though...sometimes they even make me cry...just like their commericals.
