Okay, my girls are 22 weeks today, when will they lay their first eggs -OR- who will lay first?
The contestants:
Chippy-EE, very vocal , sweet lady
Big Bird- EE, smallest of them all, mama's girl, likes to hug
Lucky-GLW, top hen, watch dog, does NOT like to hug, kind of a jerk
Pants-red cochin, very vocal with a low goose voice, daddy's girl

We're in WI, so not much daylight yet, and I don't have a lamp up. The run is covered when it's really cold, but this weekend will be in the 40s.

My vote is for Big Bird in 2 weeks!

Lucky for sure! No doubt there. I have all of them and my wyandotte laid WAY before any of the others. In fact she laid at 22 1/2 weeks old. My cochin was the last to lay. I think she was closer to 28 weeks.
