So a few days ago I noticed my chickens feathers were breaking in half. It started with the rooster or else I would have just thought he was wearing the girls out. The girls have nearly bald patches but only the top halves of the feathers are missing like they all broke in half.[IMG]

Last night two hens didn't return to the coop to roost. They are still missing this am, but I am unable to find ANY evidence of a predator attack. I also cannot find them. The next thing to happen is this am the rooster is barely crowing which is very out if character. He has Napoleon syndrome big time. Also the chickens are all just way quiet and slow. They don't seem like they are sick, just very quiet. Then one of the hens is all bunched up, just standing off balance almost like she can't move. She didn't come out if the coop and when I put her down she just walked under a bush and didn't come out. I walked around the bush and was able to just pick her up, which is extremely out of character. Also she does not feel as warm as she should. What the heck is going on?!?! Am I going to lose my whole flock to this mystery syndrome?!?!?!? Please help!!

Sounds like they may have coccidiosis. Can you post pictures? Are they eating or drinking?

Corid in water will take care of coccidiosis. You can find it at your feed store. Probably in the cattle medicine section.

The one picture is of a hens back feathers. They are eating and drinking as usual. [IMG]
This is the hen that is just sitting there. See how she is sitting back on her haunches? . If I start petting her she stands up and moves away. I just watched her drink. But she hasn't made a peep and just sits there like this.
Is the antibiotic safe for chicks? If my flock is sick I don't want them sick too. Chicks are about a month old.

The chicks seem to be sneezing a lot. I don't know if this is a symptom or if it is just because this is the second time they have ever been outside
