The dark one is the first egg from my Barnevelder girls and the giant is from one of my NH Reds. She lays one like this once or twice a week.

I had one of those huge ones out of one of my RIR's last week. It was a double yolker and weighed in at 92 grams. According to the chart I have an jumbo egg is 65 grams. So I guess that one would be a extra super duper jumbo?

Yes, she lays one every few days. She doesn't lay every day, but she'll skip a day then lay one of these. She actually laid two eggs one day. I swear I thought that wasn't possible, but one of them did and I assume it was her. I have 3 hens in that pen. I got three eggs one day and four the next. I thought she was just adjusting to laying and these giant eggs would stop but she's been laying since early September and we still get them on a regular basis. Their double yolkers. I was thinking I might hatch a few of her eggs in the spring, not the giants but regular ones. I'd like to have a few more hens like her! Reckon I'd get any more like her?
