Who's the mom?

We had a broody hatch out some babies. Now we're playing who's the mom haha. The dad is a red bantam Cochin. Mom options are sapphire gem, lavender orpington, buff orpington, and Rhode island red, and a gold and blue laced Wyandotte. The chicks are black with a bit of yellow (I'll take pics shortly). The chicks really just look like black cochin chicks none have dots like the sapphire gems would but I'm not sure how sexing genetics work with mutt chicks.

Buff Orpingtons and RIRs wouldn't produce black chicks.
If from a wyandotte they should have rose combs but that's not a guarantee.
If from lavender orpington they should have white skin.
If from sapphire gem they should have yellow skin.

Thank you! I'll have to check them out and see which color their skin is. Would they have dot/no dot for sexing like the sapphire gems do if that's what they are?

No, the dots are due to the barring gene, and female sapphire gems aren’t barred.
