My 7 month old roo mounts my hens and acts like he fertilizes them but every egg they have laid hasnt been fertile ( I made a candler and there was no cloudy spot.) Could it have he was just experimenting or is it that the hens are just starting to lay eggs?? Please help [IMG]

It is impossible to tell whether or not a unincubated egg is fertile or not. Veining will be readily noticeable in an incubated egg between 4 and 7 days depending upon the color of the egg shell and your abilities. There is a thread somewhere about 'fertile eggs' which shows the blastocyst on the yolk of a fertile egg. To see this, one must break the egg and check the yolk.
