I don't know but it sure is cute. Every time I have my camera, they don't do it. So I can't take a pic. They even ride double. Sooo Cute. [IMG]

'Cause they're kids and it's fun [IMG]

The question I always have is, does mom like it as much as the kids?

Sorry to revive a long dead thread, but I got some pictures of mine that I couldn't help but share. I may have accidentally taught them to do this, as one day I decided to put one of them on the mother's back just to see what it would do, and the chicks seem enjoy it and now do it themselves. Unfortunately, they are growing very fast, and they may soon grow to be too heavy for my only broody hen.

We didn't have any chickens until this hen laid her 15 eggs under a car in our yard. it was covered so never noticed. She came over from a neighbor's yard and stayed. She must have gone home once in a while cause she was very fertile. Well she brewed up 15 babies but one died. Now we feed and water them and watch them run around the back acre. they love to ride on mom's back and I caught it on film. enjoy and I will keep you updated. We live in Colorado.

    1. I require many photos of this babies riding on the mother's back. I had no idea.
    2. This is so important.
    3. Random chicken raising up a brood under your car and now they run wild at your place is the BEST story ever.
