One of my ducks always stomps in the mud its very cool but i was wondering why?
My duck Gertrude does it too and I've spent a week trying to get it on film. So far, no luck
But my theory is that stomping brings up little critters to eat. When I dump my pools out, there are lots of little thing that come up in the mud.You have to look real close to see, like little earthworms a centimeter long, and a whole bunch of other critters I have no idea what they are. But it proves there are things in that mud that the ducks are eating!
ps. If I get that video I'll post it here
That's what my sister said........ I would love to see it if you catch it on video it is super cute
I'll try again in an hour
It's called worm-charming! simulating the sound/vibration of rain so the worms come to the surface. or so some say.
Cause it is fun!
I got a video but I can't post it here(won't let me) and I don't have a utube account. Guess I'll have to make one
make one i was thinking about doing one for my blind duck
Would like to hear more about your blind duck! I have a young drake who's functionally blind (he has very limited vision in one eye), too.
