We have had these chickens for not even a year now and they are very aggressive towards new chickens. We started off with four of them but now we only have two. The ones we have now are Black Asterlorp (I dont think I spelled that right) and a black sex link. They are mean to all the other chickens we have! Which are a Blue Orpington, Mixed breed, and a Splash Maran. I understand that there is a pecking order but why do they peck them so much? It has come to a point where all the other chickens are sooo afraid of them that they keep their distance and dont EVER go near them! Is there a way to make them stop being so aggressive or do I have to live with it???

They are establishing a pecking order so everyone will know where there place is in the flock.

i have four chickens and one gets picked on by the other three. The other three or even two of them will nest together, but poor miss rustie is left all by herself. I feel bad for her. she has laid since about 3 weeks after we got her. when she is eating they come up and peck at her. even nesting they peck at her so she has to move to a different box. If i see it happening i get after the others and will even swat at them to hussle them a long and tell them no. Not sure if they know what i mean, but hoping they get it eventually.

That is what seems to be happening right now with my chickens! And dont worry, I find myself doing the same with my chickens when they do that
