How old are they? Often babies will gorge themselves if they havent been constant access to feed and they will sometimes bring up food mixed with water.

Sometimes my babies will "slime" me when they don't want to be picked up or messed with. It's gross but usually it's just spitty water.

one of my runner ducklings slimes me, it spits out this clear runny liquid, it seems to be something they just do sometimes...

I was reading somewhere that ducklings have a little mucus sac in their throat and if it's pressed they will spit up.
