Why do they call it a chicken tractor...

    ...when it's clearly a chicken TRAILER!? [​IMG] We start building our Woods style/fresh air open-front chicken TRAILER this weekend. [​IMG]

    Maybe because it allows the chicken to work the fields?

    I agree, the term 'chicken trailer' is more accurate as the building is mobile. However, years ago, these mobile units were moved by the farm tractor too small to do real work. So I guess the term 'chicken tractor' stuck.
