I don't think I'm going to like the answer to this. I've been feeding non gmo feed with fish meal. I did not notice this flavor in the young birds (6 week Cornish cross) but the old ones (16 week cornish cross- huge, I know) tasted pretty disgusting, very fishy. I feel really bad because I gave 2 away as thanksgiving "turkeys" since they were 14 pound birds.

Please tell me it isn't the feed... I don't have any other non gmo options, and that's all my customers want...

Sorry, but I'd have to say it was the fish meal in the feed.

    OhBoy. Probably fish meal.
Curious if it did affect the turkey flavor.
How old were they turkeys, and did you roast one yourself?
Are you feeding layers the same feed too..and is it affecting egg flavor also?
