Why Eggs Might be Becoming Harder to Peel article

    I always knew fresh ones were a real pain to peel. I use 1/4 cup of salt in the water and that cured the problem. I don't believe that it only takes 4 days to get eggs to market though.

    Why would you want to add baking soda if it'll make the eggs more sulfury? [​IMG] However, the reasoning for why it helps, but there's gont to be a better alternative if the side effect is sulfur. [​IMG] I came across a really good article recently on how to peel fresh eggs. I tried it and will never go back!! I finally got fresh deviled eggs that didn't look all mutilated!!! [​IMG]

    OH, Barker - I'm excited to read the article you posted! I feel like I've tried everything, except the egg steamer thing. Only reason I've not tried THAT is because I just don't have the counter or storage space for the thing!

    I'm gonna try that too Shelby!!! I have found about 90% success with the 1/4 cup of salt, but would love 100%!!!
