If a predator or accident has to happen WHY does it have to happen to my favorite hen or rooster??? I have Young cull type roosters running around and old nasty hen types that peck my hand at egg collecting time but does fate find them???? Course not![IMG]

Funny happens to me if I brag about a certain hen. Maybe I ought to not brag. [IMG]

She tried to stand on the rim of a planting bucket it tipped on top and it was black and it is hot here- and well you do the math... also my only blue laced red Wyandotte pullet got nailed by a hawk.

It's Murphy's Law of Predation. When a hawk attacks my pigeons, it is always the best performer that gets killed.

The bucket up ended & she got trapped under the bucket? That's some crazy, bad, dumb luck. Shoulda happened to the hawk instead. Sorry for the loss.
