Wierd losing feathers on but? *kind of gross pictures*

    A feather picker maybe? Do you see or suspect mites?

    I thought of a feather picker but it wasn't bloody or anything, How can I tell if it is mites?

    Boy if you figure it out....I'd love to hear about it! 3 of my 4 look just like this and I posted a question too. One day they just had naked butts. Perfectly healthyappearing, laying, active, happy....with drafty bums!! Never found mites or lice. And now it appears the feathers are growing back.[​IMG]

    So, though I'm not much help, maybe you will have the same luck I did and it will become a non problem.

    My chickens look like this too. Also, my warren has very scraggy looking feathers under her wings. How can I tell if its mites? Almost certain they are not pecking each other as I have not witnessed this and no blood or feathers lying around in the coop.
