i got this male the other day. hes pretty good looking, only thing i can figure out are his wings. Nothing else suggests any crossing. He has brown wings, but it looks as if someone took a faint blue paintbrush and streaked them. His neck feathers are consistent with a red gold, but his wings are almost cinnamonish. Any thoughts?

He looks like a Cinnamon or some sort of splash to me. Look at the photo of your Cinnamon and compare it to the one in question. The brown wings are a Cinnamon or splash trait. Where's Randy aka Spectrum Ranch? I bet he can tell you as he has all sorts of beautiful birds like this.

The 3rd picture from top of the juvenile red male with the white cape coming in, most definitely has Lady Amherst blood.

Hi. I live in small village in Lincolnshire in England called Claypole. I took this photograph today in my garden. Is it a young Red Golden Peasant?

Sorry for the quality of the first photograph, they were done from my iPad.
Could not find any websites about them in the UK.
    Hope you can help.

    Thanks Timbuck.
Have been doing some research and I have found that the many, many years ago the local Hall used to have Golden Pheasants. When the Hall became empty the birds escaped and bred with the local pheasants. This one could be a throwback from then. In the next county, Norfolk is one of the few places in UK where they are found, it may have found its way from there.
    Take care Allan
