Anyone see last nights Wife Swap? I normally do not watch normal TV let alone "Reality" shows, but I do occasionally watch this one.

Anyhow it was the episode of the family that was on all ALL Raw diet (lets not get into that - ick!) but I thought it was rather indictive to how most of us (not us on the forum just us in general) are so far removed from what we eat. She wanted to butcher & process a chicken in the backyard (not sure where she got it or if she brought it from home) and the guy became very upset, but can eat KFC no problem. In the end she had them do a container garden....

I like how they get such extremely opposite families and somehow MAKE them get a positive experience out of it.

I caught the end of that one, and I think the lady was eating raw chicken (!!!).

I did watch the beginning of the one the showed after that one last night. They use families in Kentucky a lot to get that 'hillbilly, wife does everything' type of swap!

I some of those shows are pretty funny. I didnt get to see the one you are talking about. But I have seen a few of them and laughed all the way through it. I do agree with you how far disconnected people arefrom where thier food comes from. My duaghter wont allow me to kill and butcher any of our chickens. But she to loves to eat fried chicken. I am finally getting her to a ponit in seeing why we cant keep all the roo's we get, because we would end up with to many roos, and not enough hens. And then the whole imbreding thing as well. She is willing right now to kill one of our big black roos, because it flogs the crap out of her and my son both.

I was picked for WifeSwap a couple of years ago, but Ernie didn't want me back if I did. [IMG] and I could take those darn chickens too!

She was eating raw chicken, she got traded for a germophobic wife.

So the germophobic wife was send to a self sustaining farm (with cows and chickens) that did not believe in using chemicals not even bleach), or antibiotics....again ick! They ALL ate everything RAW. I like sushi but sheesh!

They used butter & clay for toothpaste, the husband liked it better after it had sat out for a few days....double ick!

I do not use alot of chemicals, between dish soap, ammonia, bleach & Ajax I am pretty much done. It's just those extreme people out there that are out just SO OUT there.

Pretty entertaining, started to watch the 2nd one but due to channel surfing did not finish it (thank you God) one episode a night is sufficient.

I don't usually watch it but did last night as I could find nothing else while waiting for laundry to dry!

Yes...they ate EVERYTHING RAW!!! Even Chicken!!! And they had something called "high meat" that was raw meat that had been in the fridge for 4mos or more!!! I don't understand how they don't get sick...maybe it's just a matter of time...I dunno. I thought it was ignorant how they got mad at them the next day after a night of burgers and fries and whatever else!! It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that they are gonna be sick because their bodies aren't used to eating that way! Weird show! Doubt if I ever watch it again.
