My hubby bought a small bag of wild bird seed thinking that wild bird seed would be a nice treat for our ducks. Would this be an ok treat for them. They wouldn't get it as a primary food but just a little when we go and interact with them. It has milo, millet, cracked corn, and sunflower.

I can't find what I was looking for. But I think it's fine for them. I would hope by now that if I was wrong, someone else would have piped in. [IMG]

My ducks eat wild bird seeds and love it. They love the cracked corn, but leave the sunflower seeds alone unless I crack open it for them. Sunflower seeds get eaten up by the squirrels. They love those! So no waste all around. [IMG]

thanks everyone! We gave them some yesterday evening and they loved it. They did spit out the sunflower seeds so I guess I don't have to worry about that since they are not going to eat them. (they probably know best what they can eat) We threw a little on the ground and they loved picking at it, they almost looked like chickens [IMG]. The funiest part was my son feeding them, since the ducks are getting bigger and my sons 2 year old fingers haven't they will put his whole finger in there mouths while they are eating out of his hand.
