Found this nest 2 weeks ago yet with eggs:
Now the chicks almost outgrow the nest:
That Is Coool!
I wish I could find a wild dove's nest so I could steal the eggs In my defense, I don't have the wild colored ringneck and captive-hatched babies would not freak out as bad as wild caught.
^^^ haha .. me too
i found some last time in the river behind my house in a bush... but i felt bad... although, my homosexual paired up pigeons would've been a good pair of adoption parents again... LOL...
Why do those babies look like the have bills instead of beaks to me? Are you sure the eggs were Dove? I have one of these nests right out in front of my dining table window. She made the nest in a bird feeder Gazebo, and nothing bothers her. It is a busy area, but she sits tight. So cool.
Doesn't everyone have wild Doves pay them a visit?
Quote:Yes I'm sure, pigeons and doves born like this, then their naked beak grow some contour feather close to the head and it appears to be shorter.
yep those are doves... my baby pigeons are ugly when they're first born...
