Wild Duck Any clues on the Breed?

    My brother found this duck tonight in his driveway, we have no clue where it came from. Any clues on the breed? [​IMG]

    I have no idea but I hope someone does! It has to be one of the cutest ducklings I have ever seen![​IMG]

    Black-bellied whistling duckling. They nest in tree cavities.

    Your awesome, and I think your right. We've seen it's parents flying above several times, they make a very distinctive call. Thanks for your help.

    Black Bellied Whistling Ducklings leave the nest cavity within days of hatching. The parents are rest of the brood are probably nearby.... please put it back where you found it if they are still nearby!

    I have never seen a duckling that small! :O

    Or are those hands just huge? lol

    Ha Ha, yes the duckling is small and my husbands hands are huge, lol!!
