Wild Mallards returning for spring and hanging out with my ducks.

I have noticed there is a pair of Mallards that has been hanging around my duck pen. Will the drake try to mate my ducks?

It is very possible that he will try to mate your ducks.

He may try, but if you have larger drakes he may not be successful.

My drake is not yet 5 months old neither are my ducks, I plan on moving my ducks out of the strawberry patch Satuday over to the pond area. Hopefully the Mallards won't follow. I had to cull 2 drakes out of my flock because I had too many. I hope wild varieties don't start showing up and harrassing my girls. I wonder what I can do about that? The crosses aren't a problem because I don't plan on hatching any of those but I have silver appleyard eq coming from Holderread's in Oct and that will be a problem for next year.

Has anyone had to deal with wild drakes mating their flock?
