I checked my game cam today and found an animal I'm not sure of.

    Here is a close up:

For size comparison, here is my dog Max, a Westie in the same spot. Max weighs 20 lbs and stands 12 inches high at the shoulder.

It looks like Max is roughly the same size, or maybe a little larger than the mystery animal.

Is it a fox with it's head turned so you can't see the long snout, or could it be a small bobcat with a longish tail?

    Here kitty, kitty, kitty.

My housecat is bigger than Max is and I imagine that's what he'd look like on a cam, only he's black and white.

    ETA: Nice, clear pics, btw!

By the roundness of the jaws, I'd say Tomcat.

Looks like a large cat to me. MY cats are very small-framed, but some are rather large, especially toms. That looks like a large domestic type cat, maybe a feral one.

Yup, I'd go with a Tomcat. I've got a 20 pounder that looks scary in the dark!

Really? A house cat? I was hoping for something more exotic. Maybe next time I'll get Bigfoot. [IMG]

Did I say tomcat? I mean the very rare, never seen, Sabre Toothed Killer Kitty! [IMG]

Yeah I'd say cat too, but kind of odd looking. Short tail, thick neck. Maybe it's fluffed up in fear or part bear.

    Imp- Catear or Bearat [IMG]
