Will 2 days of layer feed hurt 2 month old chicks?

I only have 2 chicks (now 2 months old) and I have had them and their mom semi-separated from my layers and they have been eating non-medicated chick feed - but I started integrating them (carefully, slowly) recently and all is going well except that the adults all swooped into the chick food and finished it off and I see the chicks eating from the (raised higher) layer feeder. I plan to get a 50 lb bag of grower feed and fill all the feeders with that and just offer calcium separately - but until I can get it - will it hurt the chicks to eat the layer food for 2 days? I know the extra calcium can hurt them - but is that in just a day or two - or is it over time?

Only a few days won't hurt them. It's long term feeding of too much calcium that really damages them. I'd not go more than a week though.
