will a banty roo successfully mate with a big chicken (like a BO)? thanks
We have the offspring of a silkie roo and wyandotte hen.
I have a bantam RIR rooster who is successful with a BO, BR and a Red Sex-link. He just has to jump a little higher.
Yep, they usually make it work
My girlfriend has over 100 chickens... free range and as much as she'll try to pick their mates, inevitably there is the bantam roo that only likes the big girls and the huge male that likes em little...and she has beautiful chicks all the time
I was going to ask about the same thing. My dd has a oegb-- he's our only bantam. I knew he would make it work (any determined male will), I was just wondering what the chicks might turn out like. We have assorted big girls-- buff rocks, delawares, slw, rir...
Your basic all american mutt! But she does have some really interesting chickens....People are always buying them from her???? I'm stuck on Ese n Gracie's breed the bantam cochin....
