I live in Colorado. I bought a new house, and this is my first winter with chickens. The coop came with the property, and had an infrared heater in it. However, I don't believe the coop was used for chickens, maybe cats or something? I want to make sure the infrared heat lamp will not cook my birds.

(not exactly what I have, but close: http://www.heater-store.com/electri...c_heater_fostoria_och_57_208v_g_1356_prd1.htm)

    Thanks
    Josh
