I inherited a few chickens yesterday, including two red sex links. The woman I got them from said they came with the house, she doesn't know how old they are but they started laying 10 months ago (January), which would put them at right about 16 months old/born summer of 2020. That's also right around the time she inherited them. They have their wings clipped. Badly. The other hens do not have their wings clipped and the woman I got them from does not clip wings. I don't clip my chickens' wings either and I like my chickens to be able to fly well. Personal preference, no judgement, but I am really hoping they grow back. It would seem they should have just gone through their first molt (the rest of my flock is either finished molting or at the tail end of it), and should have grown their feathers back, provided that they have not been clipped in the past 10 months since she got them (she hasn't clipped them). But they have certainly not grown back. Will they grow back? When?
