Will ducks eat pumpkin?

We have lots of pumpkins that will be left over from Halloween... can I cook them up and freeze them to give to my ducks throughout the winter?

Yeah! Ducks eat pumpkins. What I do actually, is I get a pumpkin, and I make it kind of into a bowl, and then I put some duck food, lettuce, etc in there. They love it!
Edit: They actually eat the bowl, too!

yes, you can!

Yep! Sometimes the ducks may just stare at it for a bit so put some in the normal food first so they get a taste of it. Chickens love pumpkins even more!!

Mine would not. I left it in there for several days and they did not touch it. The chickens however love it.

Did you cook it? I'm just thinking it would be kind of tough for them to eat raw

altho My duck got me on the fingers the other day so hard i was shocked at how hard they can actualy bite

Mine would not eat pumpkin...My chickens love it. My Ducks love cooked spaghetti squash..

Some will. I toss all the Halloween ones out for the birds here, honestly though the chickens prefer them vs the ducks. Oddly the ducks like watermelon rind.. all you can do is try... some are fussy lol
