We have a broody hen that has set 2 broods so far. she decided to go broody again today and we are expecting a order of chicks in the next 2 days. Was wondering if she would take them so soon after she went broody? her usual pattern is to lay for 2 weeks, set for three, raise the chicks for 6 to 8 weeks, then repeat process. been like this since she started laying. very good setter and mama. anything that might help with her taking them would help since it would be easier if she did all the work. order is for 25 chicks. 15 meat birds, 5 Cochin, and 5 Brahmas. hen is kinda small but is setting in a broody box/brooder.
  2. Yes she will take them. Just set them under her and leave her be.
