Will Hens raise new chicks that aren't theirs?

I am curious what the plan for processing them is.

I would have my husband kill them and take their heads off (because I WON'T do that part) and then I would process them. It's not hard, just time consuming. I had to do in in HS for an Ag class...I'd just need to watch Youtube to remember it all.

That's the plan anyway. Now my husband isn't so sure, which is fine by me. I'm happy with my 6 chickens.
