i have to take them out every day to weigh their mass, will they die?? is there a certain way to do this so i dont kill them

for science fair, i need to weigh them to see if i have increased their growth, is there a way to do this withought killing them? like if i only did it every 5 days?

Unless there is some law of physics at work here that I know nothing about, the following would apply:

1. The egg remains the same size - no mass increase.
2. Nothing is brought in to the inner envoirment other than air through the pores of the shell - no mass increase there.
3. The chick grows, but the components of the egg are transformed from various proteins and fats into the chick. A simply transference.

No mass increase.

(That I know of)

i guess i should explain.
i am injecting 12 eggs with vitamin a (effects bone growth)
injecting 12 with vitamin c (tissue growth)
and 12 as a control
i am trying to increase the growth while in the egg to produce healthier stronger chicks
i am a freshman in highschool and very interested in biology and so i decided on this experiment

There may be some funky science to it...I've also heard some people tell the develpement by the "weight" of the egg. Also obviously by the change in airpocket...
