Will mom miss her chicks when I sell them

    My silkie chicks are 2 to 3 weeks old right now. They are still in a private coop with their two moms who still care for them and sit on them. I'm selling most of them tommorow. Will the moms be upset? It's just a stupid question. When they were first born I removed moms to take pics and them moms went ballistic.

    The mom will miss them. As long as you leave her some she will adjust.

    Well the thing is they are not weaned from Momma and those chicks will peep themselves into a tizzy trying to find Momma.

  4. It’s best to wait until the hen is done raising them. Otherwise both the mother and the chicks will be very upset.
