Will mommy hen accept new babies?

My Bantam hen just hatched her egg today. A single egg,I'm 99.9% sure it was a Bantam egg but not from this mommy. Such a cute baby. Do you think that the mommy hen might accept new babies on Friday/Saturday if I bought day old to 1week old chicks? If I can even get some. Otherwise I will have to wait till she goes broody again and give her some babies because I don't think I'll have eggs. She's a very good mommy so far.

I've never done it but I read you best introduce the chicks at night by putting them under her, but I'm sure the more expert than me will come on and tell you properly.

The older the chicks are, the less likely for success. Be prepared to brood them yourself if she rejects them.

That's my worry. Probably easier to just wait till she's broody again in a few months.

I'd just let her raise the one she has and wait till next time for more.
