We are going away for a few days soon, and I am wondering, will my chicks they be alright if someone feeds them once day day? But with a small pile of food and fresh water? I am stressing a lot.[IMG]
They are currently 4-5 weeks old.

Mine are that age, i have 9 and they eat alot. Id have a big bowl of food, and if you have the watering conainers for chicks that you fill the cup/jar and screws on a base, if you could hang it two inches off the floor. I feed mine and they eat alot, but within two hours the water is low, and it gets packed full of shaving. A bowl of water could be spilled

    Thank you [IMG] ,
My 1 hen often pecks her babies. Is there any way I can stop this?

Is she hurting them? Babies are often pecked to teach them when they arent "following to rules of thy chicken" And usually when you introduce them to a flock, they get pecked alot to learn their standing in whos in charge. New babies are the end of the totem pole. I would just watch for them being injured or bleeding. Chickens are attracted to red.
